Ultium Platform

GMC’s revolutionary Ultium platform is the backbone of the new Hummer EV lineup. These large-format, pouch-style cells can be stacked vertically or horizontally inside the battery pack. This allows the Hummer EV to be equipped with a 24-module battery pack for a GM-estimated range of up to 329 miles.

The engineers at GMC didn’t just make the Ultium platform with a lot of batteries, they also strategically mounted the batteries for ultimate efficiency. Placed on a low mounting position on the chassis for low center of gravity, the Hummer EV’s batteries enhance the stability and control of the vehicle. This allows for unmatched handling both on- and off-road when behind the wheel of the Hummer EV Pickup.

The Hummer EV Pickup will feature GM’s wireless battery management system, making it the first vehicle in their lineup to do so. This system maintains the truck’s battery cell groups balance, allowing for ultimate performance and battery lifespan.

You can experience the Ultium platform, all you need to do is place your Hummer EV preorder today. Come on down to Rick Bokman GMC and place your Hummer EV preorder today, don’t wait until it’s too late!

Electrifying Performance

On-road, off-road, terrain doesn’t matter when you’re behind the wheel of the Hummer EV. Featuring three electric drive motors, the Hummer EV offers up to 1,000-horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque to help you tackle any obstacle. In addition to all of this power, the Hummer EV can even synchronize all four wheels for a true e4WD experience.

The three motors of the Hummer EV will be affixed in different areas of the truck, with a single motor in the front and two rear motors. GMC’s Ultium Drive unit controls the rear motors to optimize traction for everything from off-road adventures to highway driving — all automatically.

The front-drive unit offers an electronic lockable differential while the rear motors can be synchronized to simulate a locking differential. This allows for ultimate off-road performance, as the Hummer EV can then send all of its 11,500 lb-ft of torque to a single wheel. Getting stuck while off-roading won’t be a problem any more thanks to the Hummer EV and Ultium Drive technology.

With all of this power and torque coming from it’s three electric motors, the Hummer EV is capable of going from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds. Bet you didn’t think an EV could be that fast, let alone a Hummer, did you?

Fast Charging Capability

The Hummer EV won’t just be fast on the trails and the road — it”s fast at the charging station too. Ultium platform allows Hummer EV owners to take advantage of the fastest charging stations the industry has to offer, as it is capable of using 350-kilowatt DC fast chargers.

This is possible because the Hummer EV has the unique ability to switch its Ultium batteries from  400-volts to 800-volts for charging. With this ability, you’ll be able to charge on any level of charging stations throughout the United States. For more information on charging stations, check out our blog on EV charging.

The Ultium platform’s fast-charging capabilities will allow you to add up to 100-miles of range to your Hummer EV in about 10 minutes of charging. All of the Hummer EV’s charging hardware will be manageable via in-vehicle controls as well as an available smartphone application.

GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate

We Have Cabin Fever for the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate

Rarely has a truck’s interior cabin been mistaken for the log variety you’d find out in the woods. That the Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate invites the comparison is impressive in itself. The Denali and Ultimate are the Sierra’s top shelf trim types, so it should come as no surprise that the Denali Ultimate excels when it comes to handling and performance. What may be surprising is just how comfortable the interior is, to the point where it comes close to simulating a cozy night spent indoors. Did we mention that it has a bed? Courtesy of Rick Bokman Buick Cadillac GMC, here’s a deeper look at GMC’s newest must-have pickup truck. Good Vibes Inside If you're think we're being bullish in comparing the Denali Ultimate’s interior to a log cabin, the truck itself seems to take the comparison to heart, if somewhat inadvertently. To wit, its interior is composed of open-pore wood, and brown coloring is plentiful. Still, you won’t be reaching for a guitar to keep your passengers entertained. The infotainment screen is smoothly integrated into dashboard, offering a bevy of apps including a natively running Google Maps. But the Denali Ultimate’s greatest feature lies in its comfort. To call its interior spacious would be an understatement: leg room is abundant, and the storage space offered is without equal. It even achieves a fireplace vibe thanks to its heated seats. Throw in a front-seat massage function and two gloveboxes and you might find yourself unwilling to remove yourself from the Denali Ultimate’s cozy embrace. Hardwired with Hardware Lest you think we’re being overly effusive in all the Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate offers, it does indeed include all of the following: 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay Bose 12-speaker sound system 15-inch head-up display Digital rearview mirror Wireless charging This is in addition to 16-way powered front massage seats, ventilated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate is fully aware of its spaciousness, and utilizes every inch of that space. Roll Into the New Year with a GMC As we await the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate, Rick Bokman Buick GMC Cadillac is your home for new and pre-owned GMCs. Whenever you’re in need of parts or service, we're here to keep you on the road and moving forward towards whatever next awaits you.
